This is PART 1 of a Truly of Grand Wedding - The Rehearsal & Rehearsal Dinner
This is truly a grand wedding. The story starts with an amazing couple from Indiana and east Tennessee that met at U.T., fell in love, traveled a bit, found themselves in NYC chasing down careers, got engaged and wanted to have an amazing wedding. Cassidy and Tyler sort of always figured they’d settle down in the Knoxville area so having their wedding here was a no brainer. Plus their families are here.
But you must know Cassidy and Tyler have big plans and even bigger dreams. And their wedding would reflect their ambition. We met Cassidy and her entourage at Gettysvue Country Club at their 2017 Spring Bridal Show. She explained they wanted to get married at Sacred Heart Cathedral. At that time it was very much under construction. She said the completion date was set for spring of 2018. To have a Catholic wedding was very important to her. And the new cathedral would be very grand and quite perfect.
A Little Gratitude for the Wedding Pros
Before I tell the story, I need to thank all those who helped make their wedding day picture perfect. These are the wedding professionals that did what they do best. Each one of them contributed to not just the success of the wedding, but also to the photos we captured. #teamworkmakesthedreamwork

Cassidy & Tyler chose to have us capture their rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. We always suggest this when couple’s have a large group of out of town guests. Capturing those folks as they practice and get to know one another always sets the stage for how the wedding day will unfold. Plus we get to know all the important people so the wedding day is much smoother. The cathedral was pretty much brand spanking new, beautiful & full of the Spirit of God.
After rehearsal we headed to the Sunsphere at World’s Fair Park for the rehearsal dinner. It was a perfect spring evening. As the sunset the guests settled into a great dinner provided by Rosa's Catering. Then we watched a tremendous slide show of images of the bride and groom from birth to the present. Lot’s of ooohs and aaaaahs. And a few sighs of loved ones no longer with us. Then toasts and stories of the couple began. I suspect the stories could have continued for a long time. There would be a wedding the next day so the party had to end.
You may have noticed I mention the many wedding pros by name that took part in this wedding. Sometimes I get comments wondering why I mention them. But each one of them didn’t just help Cassidy and Tyler have an amazing wedding. Each of them helped me capture amazing photos along the way. And you may not know how fast the wedding day moves. And without each wedding professional hitting their marks right on time we can’t make magic. #teamworkmakesthedreamwork
